Lt. Governor Division 1 -- Michael Melugin

Hello all, my name is Michael (Mikey) Melugin and I’m the Lt. Governor of Division 1 for the 2010-11 school year.  I attend Sentinel High in Missoula, Montana and have been living in Missoula my entire life.

I have been fairly shy for my whole life and started branching out much more lately.  I just started getting more involved with school in my junior year.  I am involved in student government, DECA, Key Club (of course), and I am on the school newspaper.  I have played baseball for upwards of ten years, and just joined the swim team for the first time this year and loved it. This school year has been great, and I expect next year to be even better.

Even though I love Missoula, I’m under no illusion that I will be here forever.  I expect to go to college out of state, even though I don’t have a specific college picked out.  My interests include everything in the above paragraph as well as art, mostly drawing, and designing.  I’m in a drafting class in which I am designing and modeling a house and I am planning in enrolling in an architecture program in college, although this line of work isn’t set in stone, especially due to this economy.

I haven’t been in Key Club for that long, just over a year or so, but in the last few months of the ‘09-10 year I became very involved.  I started signing up for almost every activity that the Sentinel Key Club had to offer and I began to really enjoy it.  I didn’t decide to run for a state position until a couple months before convention, but I am excited nevertheless.  I realize that Division is for lack of a better word, huge, and I am ready to embrace that fact and make it run as smoothly as humanly possible.  I’m always available and am looking for any problems or suggestions, so get in touch with me if you have any.
